Watch all Netflix videos free of cost on DEC 5 & 6

The popular video streaming platform has decided to host a weekend StreamFest in India next month that will give consumers free access to its content library.

Anyone in India can watch all the blockbuster films, series, documentaries and reality shows for two whole days, the company said in a blog post on Friday. The move, experts suggest, is aimed at bringing new users to the platform that competes against players like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and Zee5 in the burgeoning OTT (over the top) market in India.

The two-day StreamFest will be on December 5 and 6. Customers who sign up for the Fest will get only one stream in standard definition and can access all the features that members use. “At Netflix, we want to bring the most amazing stories from across the world to all fans of entertainment in India,” the company said

"Anyone who signs in during StreamFest gets one stream in standard definition so, no one else can use the same login information to stream," said -Monika Shergill, Vice President, Content, Netflix India.

Viewers who sign up via the Android app or a browser, can use that login to watch Netflix on any device — smart TV, gaming console, iOS device (yes, you can cast too). They will have access to every feature that Netflix's regular members currently use.

"India is the only country where we are launching a mobile-only plan. The country is a pillar for us. With the huge population rise, rising middle class and all the entertainment that we can create out of India, it is an important play in the books of Netflix," the company had said.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings had last year announced that Netflix would invest Rs 3,000 crore on Indian content.

Facebook to pay 650$ for privacy settlement in Illinios

Facebook has been charged with the case of privacy issue of collecting biometric images from photo in Illinois with the fine  of  billion dollar money. This could be an important issue again while facing US congress in future.

The giant company Facebook  will be making payouts to nearly about a quarter of the 6 million Illinois residents  who are eligible for the biggest consumer privacy settlement in U.S. history.

Based on a tally filed in court after Monday’s claims deadline, some 1.57 million people will probably pocket more than $300 each — after about a third of the $650 million settlement fund is set aside for their attorneys and administrative costs — from a lawsuit in which the social network was accused of collecting biometric images from its photo-tagging feature without consent.

In Facebook’s case, the judge was initially skeptical if a settlement of less than $1 billion was fair, considering that if users had taken the company to trial they could have sought damages of as much as $5,000 for each violation of the Illinois Biometric Privacy Information Act.

To get U.S. District Judge James Donato on board, the company and the lawyers for consumers added an extra $100 million to what was originally a $550 million accord, and they promised an extra-aggressive outreach effort, which included pinging Facebook users directly through their accounts to alert them to the cash jackpot. Final approval of the deal is scheduled for early in 2021.

Facebook privacy has been serious issue for the  many cases. American congress has  moniter the all the giant companies like google ,twitter, apple and facebook regarding the data track, privacy management and data breach issue. All the CEO of respective companies have already been facing the us congress many times.
